The
ordinary shop tools are available hear. Sand paper, white glue for wood,
We
have a sanding machine and a vertical mini saw for plywood
Do you have any gliders
or aircraft?
Our best modeler
left to America for the university studies. He promised to return after 5
years with the engineering diploma and a pilot license. We like to believe
this. He left a trainer resived from a cousin in emigration. We promised to
conserve it. Meanwhile he took the transmitter & radio control equipment,
as its .40 engine.
Now we are going to building two gliders. First should be an 800 mm; the second
an 1800 mm wing span soarer. We have no RC&E for these projects. Next
could be a U line and a simple RC trainer.
The building materials we miss: covering material, adhesives, and balsa.
Do you have any transmitters
and radio equipment?
We
have an used radio transmitter without battery.
We
have old no throttle diesel engines, 1.5 and 2.5 cc. But the ether
is not used more in the medicine.
This
is our problem. We think in the future to blend our own. We should explore
the problem. Could we burn some 30 liters next year? Who now, may be somehow
this can be an indicator of our growth.
Do you have a computer to run a basic simulator?
Yes
we have. Our computer run Win 98, AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor, 64.0 MB RAM.
It
is great to have an initial train on the computer. It can save a lot of recourses.
It can give us more confidence to the flight and in general can contribute
to promote our success.
I
look forward to hearing from you.
What are your objecties?
N.G.O. - ALBANIAN AVIATION CLUB "EAGLES"
“Opening horizons for Albanian youth through technical education”
Our
vision
Our club has as its aim to help the youth of Albania mature and spark interest
in aviation. Our focus is on the high school and university student and those
who remain forever young. Our goal is to teach our club members to build everything
step by step, mainly based on the voluntary work of the ancient members of
our club. We also want these activities to spread throughout Albania.
We believe that the work of the "Albanian Aviation Club Eagles" should be considered as an essential element of changing social relations. Our work among the youth is an important factor in the development of future generations in Albania. Many things, which we teach the youth, can be applied to other aspects of life. The young members also grow in their personal values. They learn how to: solve problems, work with their hands, help other members and to think independently. They are also taught to keep a balance in their lives between their studies and their special interests and be responsible for their actions. They have the opportunity to mature while participating in enjoyable and challenging activities. For this reason it merits to be supported by those who value the young generation, which will determine the direction of this country.
Our
activities today
We have started the classes of airplane modeling and a group of young men
have passed to the second level of classes. So, the basis of the future of
our club has been created.
We have also organized a summer school for modeling. We are collecting teaching materials on parachuting, soaring, ultralights, and air acrobatics.
The draft on the "History of Aviation in Albania" is being worked on as well as the book "Aeromodeling" and the club newspaper.
Our
Future
We desire to organize a flying day where we will include international participation.
This will be a unique experience where thousands of people can participate
and learn. One of our dreams is to create a living museum of aviation where
everyone, young and old, can experience the development of aviation in the
world. It is important for us to establish a suitable area for our activity:
-rooms for classes -to establish an office for the preparation of teaching
materials and technical publications -workshop and library -to have the use
of a hangar for flying near the airport of Laprak
Our
needs
Everything, up to now, has been done on a volunteer basis by our club members
without any outside support. We need to gain the interest of the Albanian
government and to work together on projects of common interest. Applying aviation
and development of its infrastructure is an important factor of progress in
a developing country. This extension and continuation of our activities requires
the help of many people and for help with funding. We believe that many individuals,
groups, associations, foundations and governments could and should help.
How can you help!?
