This model flying club was set up to promote radio controlled model aircraft flying in Albania. The main objectives are to provide the opportunity for people to get learn how to build and how to fly radio control model aircraft

We are a group of aviation enthusiasts in Albania. There was no civil aviation in the past nor any sport aviation activity under communism in Albania. It was an exception for all eastern block countries, explaining at what limits, both economic and cultural, was governed our country, and in which corner was pushed our people.

Three years ago we founded the Albanian Air Club "Eagle". It's legally registered as a Non Government Organization (non profit organization). Our goals are: to educate youth and spark interest in aviation; to develop air sports; to preserve aviation history and to create a living museum of aviation history; preservation of an historic airport at the edge of capital Tirana.

We desire to organize a flying day where we will include international participation.

Now we have a group of young modelers who can be our junior colleges tomorrow. All our work is done without special materials and tools, without any budget. It is very difficult to find or buy materials in Albania, there is no any hobby shop. But it is our determination to go forward developing our human and material resources.

On the basis of our experience we elaborated a project, called "Opening horizons for Albanian youth through technical education". We see to involve many young people. It is not a sport aviation modeling project only but as well a social and cultural one. We are looking for airplanes and gliders in flight and a flight school.

We are conscious about work to be done, and big difficulties on our way. From ten years sins the fall of communism in Albania our country is overloaded with so many traumatic social events. In this situation our efforts seam to other people hear very strange. But we are convinced that our mission is a noble one. Many and many young people can make a positive experience associating with us. Even not adopting an aviation profession they can find better a right way for their life.

That is the reason and moral, we are asking you for help. We are looking for a support from friendly aviation enthusiasts, persons, organizations for the efforts to succeed in our next steps. Do you see to help in any sort to our cause?
